FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
About the Product
1. Does the mix contain alcohol?
Yes, our mix is made the traditional way with real Jamaican rum and sweet wine for that authentic flavor. Don’t worry — the alcohol evaporates during baking, so it’s safe to enjoy. If you want that extra “kick” like Grandma used to make, just brush the baked cake with rum, sweet wine, or brandy while it’s still warm.
2. How many cakes can I make from one pack?
One pack makes a standard 9-inch round cake (about 2 lbs) — perfect for sharing… or keeping all to yourself, no judgment here.
3. Is it gluten-free or vegan?
Not yet — our mix contains wheat flour. While the mix itself is plant-based, you’ll still need to add eggs and butter. Some customers have created tasty vegan versions using plant-based substitutes.

5. Do you ship internationally?
Yes! We ship directly to England, the US, and Canada. For other destinations, check with our partner sellers to see where they ship.
6. How long does delivery take?
Direct orders are shipped through shipping carriers and usually take 2–3 weeks to arrive. Packages to the UK may take longer. For faster or alternative delivery options, check with our partner sellers for their estimated delivery times.
7. Does someone have to sign for my package?
Shipping carriers may require a signature upon delivery, so the package might not be left at your door. If no one is available to sign, you may need to arrange for re-delivery or pick it up at your local post office.

11. Is it good with ice cream?
Oh yes! Vanilla, rum & raisin, or even coconut ice cream — pure bliss.
